42. Bogs + Good Native Plants II

What is the meaning of good native plants for a person who's on a spiritual journey?

I talk again today with Bogs, a Mi'kmaq student of Environmental Sociology at McGill University in Montreal. Bogs has started a non-profit in service of Mother Nature called Good Native Plants.

We covered a variety of topics and tangents on this podcast, including the supremacy of Indigenous Traditional Knowledge, Animal and Plants as Nations, engaging with and connecting to Passion + Purpose, Native plants as a process to decolonize, plant systems as exemplars of good social systems and so much more.

I really enjoy speaking with Bogs and I hope you do too. Check out their non-profit if you’re looking to re-design your property/spaces to be more integrated and beneficial to the whole of Nature.

41. Bogs + Good Native Plants

Today we talk with Bogs, a Mi'kmaq student of Environmental Sociology at McGill University in Montreal. Bogs has started a non-profit in service of Mother Nature called Good Native Plants.

We talk the difference between Western science and Traditional Indigenous Knowledge and biodiversity as immunity, linguistics + language, and I almost cry because I love the Land so much. We had a lot to share an I interrupted too much.

Also, count how many times I said "interesting" in this podcast, it's ridiculous.

Part II should be up shortly.

40. MR. SAUGA - Earthbound

Jordan Jamieson, MR. SAUGA - a rapper, archeologist, Michi Saagii of the Credit and the creator of the soundtrack to my awakening to vocation in this life.

I LOVE all of this. His album “Earthbound” has been on repeat in my life for over a month. I wake up to Anishinabek words, phrases, and his lyrics in my head. There is synchronicity here for me, and a deep sense of gratitude for his expression of Spirit in the World of Form.

We talk about a bunch of stuff - his music, the language, sovereignty, Land + Spirit. Please support his music. Go buy it, stream it and vote for him on the Indigenous Music Countdown. Very grateful for this in my life.

35. Elder Dr. Dave

I’ve spoken about Dr. Dave before and I assume I’ll be speaking about him at length in the future. He is continuing his Teaching Circle work from Spirit and is available to all who answer his call to be in right relationship with Land + Spirit.

He has been teaching me over and over again about communication with and for the Earth. Sharing love for the Earth and sharing love about the Earth is the message he is repeating to me and the lesson I am learning until I am able to embody that truth in the world.

This is for you too. This is for everybody.
